Welcome to the January edition of the PL Lighthouse! 
This monthly email blast and webpage has been designed to serve much like a lighthouse, to serve as a way forward and help in navigating through the busy school year. Nothing else speaks of safety in the face of adversity and challenge quite like the lighthouse. 
PL Quarterback Huddles
The January PL QB Huddle is next Tuesday, January 14th at PL Prep [2827 Throckmorton St]. Our February huddle date has changed to Thursday, February 13th. Updated calendar invites were sent last decade, but make sure yours has been updated. To review the PL QB Huddle topics and see the calendar at a glance click here.

Want to get GOOGLEY? 
We have limited spots for a Google Level 1 self-paced free (thanks Google!) course is available for registration now through Friday, January 31, 2020. Once enrolled, you will have access to the course for 10 months. Access codes will be given away on a first come, first serve basis and are available for leaders and teachers. If interested, please email Nicolette at [email protected] for course enrollment directions.
Social Media Take-Over
Interested in spotlighting your campus in a new way? We're looking for more schools to take over our Instagram or Twitter. [ACTION ITEM] Click here if you're interested in participating or want more information. Stay tuned on January 21st for IDEA's take-over and January 23rd for PL Prep's take-over!

MAP Testing Updates
The Middle of the Year testing window opens January 7th and closes January 31st. For 2nd grade testing, please make sure that students take the 2-5 Growth assessment instead of the K-2 Growth assessment [this is to help align to district-wide implementation and data reporting. 

If you have any questions or need support with testing, check out the MTSS site at www.dallasisd.org/mtss and be on the lookout for a future WAIP memo for updates.
