Modern Classrooms Project | Spring Cohort Accepting Applications Now!

We have partnered with the Modern Classrooms Project to offer scholarships for Dallas ISD PL educators to their teacher-created, classroom-tested Virtual Mentorship Program. During the 12-week Virtual Mentorship Program, teachers create content to use in their Modern Classroom through a virtual, asynchronous, and self-paced course. They are guided through creating mastery checks, instructional videos, self-pacing tools, and systems for student engagement. An Expert Mentor in a similar content or grade level provides feedback and guidance to help teachers build a unit they are confident in using in their classroom. Scholarships are limited; complete this form to learn more and apply by February 24th: www.modernclassrooms.org/dallas

We invite you all to the Big Ideas Festival on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at Conrad High School [7502 Fair Oaks Ave, Dallas, TX 75231] from 9:30am -1:30 pm.
This event is to celebrate the entrepreneurial spirit in Dallas ISD. Our second Pitch for Good Competition was November 15th-18th, 2022.  We hosted young entrepreneurs with a novel idea to improve the community they live in. Eighteen teams participated and experienced the entrepreneurial process first hand and received coaching to solve a problem they identify in their own community.
Our finalists from that competition will pitch their proposed solution at the culminating event, the Big Ideas Festival, on Saturday, January 28, 2023. We encourage you to share about the event digitally, using this site:  bit.ly/bigideasfestival.

We are looking for volunteers to help us the day of the event! If you are interested, please email Vanessa Rodriguez ([email protected]) by Wednesday, January 11th. Time will be compensated according to role!
