Welcome to the May edition of the PL Lighthouse!
This monthly email blast and webpage has been designed to serve much like a lighthouse, to serve as a way forward and help in navigating through the busy school year. Nothing else speaks of safety in the face of adversity and challenge quite like the lighthouse. 
2021-2022 End of Year Cohort Support Survey
We’d like to hear from you! With your open and honest feedback we will gauge our effectiveness as your central support team. This will help us continue to iterate and design best-fit supports for our PL campuses and respond to the needs of the PL cohort. Quarterbacks and Principals, please ensure you take the survey individually. Please complete the survey by Friday, May 13th.
PL Design Studio Follow Up
As a reminder, all materials from Design Studio are on Schoology in the Design Studio Folder | April 27th, 8:30AM-4:00PM. Log in to Schoology by using your EAD account at dallasisd.schoology.com. 
​Ensure you’ve completed the following tasks by Wednesday, May 4th, at 5:00 PM:
  • Spring Benchmarking
  • Readiness Continuum Self- Assessment (all 12 domains)
  • Select 2022-2023 Readiness Continuum Priorities 
  • Submit Menu of Supports
  • 22-23 Teacher + Leader Email

May 9-27th
Want to learn from and support other campus teams in the PL Cohort? 
Sign up to join another PL campus defense at bit.ly/audPLdefense22. You’ll receive a calendar invite with the Zoom information to confirm your spot within 48 hours of submitting the form. Thank you for continuing to support the work across the PL Cohort! 

Interested in who’s signed up to attend your campus’ defense? 
Don’t forget to check your campus’ RSVP sheet at bit.ly/PLdefense2022 under the *Campus Teams* RSVPS tab.

Remember, if your team only selected "I'd like to send my own invitation" the only outside audience, beyond the PL central team, you will have are those you invite. The PL team sent our external and internal invitations the week of April 18th.

Summer Learning Opportunities 
Beginning next Monday, May 9th teachers will receive an email from [email protected] will all the summer PD opportunities. Principals and QBs will be cc:ed on this email so that you can follow up and/or share in campus communication as you see fit. 

Note: This email will be sent to the list of staff members included on the teacher roster spreadsheet and will include ONLY the opportunities you opted in to share with staff (from your Menu of Support).

New PL Leader Orientation
Do you have a new-to-PL principal, assistant principal, campus instructional coach, or coordinator joining the team? Make sure they register for New Leader Orientation on July 26th or August 2nd from 9:00-11:00 AM. Form to register here.

Flip the Switch
We are excited to announce a new podcast from the PL department called, Flip the Switch!  Our hope is that you find this podcast to be a fun, lighthearted way to learn more about personalized learning instruction practices, understand the framework and resources used to support the work and connect with other educators through stories and reflection.
