Student Agency Synchronous Campfire
Thursday, June 3rd, we'll be gathering around the campfire one last time to share learning from our trip to Big Bend. Elementary will meet from 4:00-5:00 PM and secondary will meet from 5:00-6:00 PM. Zoom links have been sent to all teachers who filled out the phase selection form.
Introducing Next Year's Driving Question
This next year, the driving question that will be driving our team's work and cohort learning opportunities is, "How might we increase opportunities for student agency in and beyond school?" With this driving question, we are also introducing new series of blended and personalized learning coaching tools to driving teacher and leader training moving forward, progressions!

If you haven't have had a chance to learn more about the progressions yet, please plan to view the video below to learn more about this shift and how this might influence your back-to-school PD or BL/PL coaching moving forward.
FEEDBACK NEEDED [DUE June 18th]
Before we launch the new Blended and Personalized Learning Coaching Progressions with central staff, campus teams, and teachers specifically during PL Workout Week- we need your feedback. Please plan to spend ~15-20 minutes review the coaching progressions and leave any comments, concerns, or feedback directly in the following documents via Google Comments no later than Friday, June 18th. We'll respond to feedback at the end of June and will publish all final documents in July. You will also receive new coaching guides for all leaders on your campus in July/August with these new tools.

Progression Draft Documents:
  • Slide deck from video above
  • Station Rotation, Individual Rotation, and Flex Model Progressions Drafts
  • Inspiration Bank for each Next Move (this will live on the PL Toolbox when published)

If you want to chat through your feedback or want to share feedback directly with someone, reach out to Kristen at [email protected].

Want to learn more about how to use this tool?
Join us July 21st from 9:00-11:00 AM for an onboarding webinar for leaders! This session will norm on the station rotation, individual rotation, and flex blended learning models then will introduce progressions and how to use them to drive coaching and support for teachers. Register here!

Principal Opportunity
Compass-in-Leadership Cohort from Valor Collegiate

This opportunity is designed for principals and comes  from our friends at Valor Collegiate. The school is well known for strong SEL practices integrated throughout the day for both students and staff.

Our goal with the leadership cohort is to combat the isolation school leaders often feel in their roles while supporting their own adaptive growth, believing that this investment will infuse our schools with leaders who are centered, balanced, and sustained in their incredibly complex roles.  Over the course of the two-year cohort, school leaders will be encouraged to challenge their limiting beliefs + mindsets, they’ll learn to manage the cycles of toxic stress that often lead to burnout and a short leadership tenure, and will be engaging in relationship development with a group of like-minded leaders from across the country.

Learn more and apply by checking on the Compass-in-Leadership Program Overview.

If you have any questions about this opportunity, reach out to Kristen at [email protected]. And, if you apply- let Kristen know!
