This virtual event will provide campus teams an opportunity to share how they used design thinking to make progress towards one of their campus priorities (from the PL Readiness Continuum) for the year. Audience members will have the chance to learn from three design teams during team presentations to and will have a chance to ask questions and provide feedback to teams. The evening will conclude with parting inspiration from the Stanford d.school's K-12 Lab. SAVE THE DATE + TIME | FALL 2021 PL Cohort Celebration + Exhibition VIRTUAL Event This fall teams from every PL Campus have been working hard through the Design Thinking process to tackle one of the PL Priorities aligned from the PL Readiness Continuum. We're excited to announce that our Fall 2021 PL Cohort Virtual Celebration + Exhibition will be Thursday, December 9th from 4:00-5:30 PM! During this event every team will present lessons learned from their design challenge with the PL Cohort and community members. Note: This was originally scheduled for the morning of December 9th, but we've moved to the end of the day due to the high number of teachers on design teams. More information and registration will be coming out next week. Opportunity for Assistant Principals The Stanford d.school is coming to Dallas ISD in the winter of 2021-2022 to facilitate the sixth cohort of the School Retool fellowship. School Retool takes a design thinking approach to spreading Deeper Learning practices and will equip participating APs with tools, processes, and resources to intentionally and creatively tackle campus challenges using small experiments called “hacks." The fellowship includes the following commitments from participants:
