April Design Studio Update | Team-Paced Work Plan

In response to the demands we know your campuses are facing as we ramp up for testing, we have decided to rethink the April 4th design studio. Instead of meeting in-person at the admin building, we will flip the content and team tasks to provide a team-paced work plan with opportunities to opt in for support from our team. Teams will receive access to this plan via email on Thursday, April 6th, and all action items will be due no later than Thursday, April 27th. Throughout the month of April, our team will host office hours as well as open our Calendlys for team support.

We hope that this adjustment provides more space and time for your team to reflect on all the year’s success as well as plan for the upcoming year.

LanSchool is Live for the 2022-2023 School Year

This is an easy-to-use classroom management tool allows teachers to monitor screens, take over devices through a 'blank screen' feature, limiting web usage during quizzes or tests, and much more!

Every teacher at a PL campus received an email today (August 29th) with directions on how to access their account. See below for what this email looks like that you can share with staff to help them find the email. Teachers must activate their account within 30 days of receiving the email or their account will not be set up.

Last Call | PL Readiness Continuum Feedback

We are in the process of updating the PL Readiness Continuum to reflect our lessons learned over the past four years and need your feedback as we work to finalize this month.
During Design Studio all schools will attend a workshop to understand the rationale for change, review the final draft, and provide any last suggestions before we publish on September 30th.

If you have any questions, concerns, feedback or want to talk about any of the changes feel free to register (will receive calendar invite) and join for one of the office hours below.

There have been adjustments to several district calendars, and in response, we have had to change a few dates. Outlook calendar invites have been updated as well as the department calendar here.

PL Collaborative Schoology Groups

During Homecoming Week, we launched our PL Collaborative Schoology Groups. These groups are grade-band specific and were built to foster relationships for teachers across the cohort. They are a place to share and discuss PL practices specific to their grade-band. We will also be posting the Lite Brite, our teacher-facing newsletter, starting in October, directly to those groups.

Please share the following link (image below) with your staff.  This link will give them steps by step instructions for how to join their respective collaborative groups in schoology.
