Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Will I be able to earn district credit that will count towards my required 21 hours?

Yes, we'll manually enter participants and award credit via Cornerstone following the workshop.

What if I can only attend one day?

That's ok! When you register you'll have a chance to opt in to all or some of the PL Cruise events.

Do I need to have any prior knowledge of or practice of blended or personalized learning to attend?
No, that is what day one of PL Cruise is designed to equip participants with.

What do I need to do/bring with me when attending?
An open mind, excitement, a device, headphones, and a charger for your device!

Can I attend if I'm not teaching at a current PL campus?
At this time, we cannot accommodate teachers outside of the cohort. We strongly suggest checking back in the fall for opportunities open to anyone across the district.

Will lunch be provided?
At this time- no, but we'll have snacks! You'll have an hour for lunch, so you're welcome to leave for lunch or stay during lunch time to eat. As we get closer to PL Cruise, we'll send out more information and share if we'll be able to provide lunch.

What if I still have more questions?
Reach out to Kristen Watkins at krwatkins@dallasisd.org.
